The project is called Bullinah Aboriginal Health Service – Bullinah New Directions for Mothers, Babies and Families and aims to be the core centre for all services and referrals where pregnancy, birth, post-natal, and infant health is concerned. We aim to work with existing services in its area; to provide and facilitate comprehensive health care for mothers; babies and families from pregnancy to birth and beyond in a culturally appropriate way.
Provide a coordinated approach to pregnancy, with staff whose sole purpose is to service clients and their partners who are pregnant and or have young children, in a space designed for this purpose. Emphasis on regular follow up and coordination with other programs will improve the experience for the clients, and health outcomes for their families.
As a part of the ante-natal services that BAHS offers, adding a strong emphasis on father and other children involvement will assist to provide the family with a good understanding and assist with the changes that are occurring in their lives.
This program will also have a focus on mental health and wellbeing of all parties involved, including mother, father and existing children.
Mums and Bubs will be open Monday to Friday to drop in for a cuppa and a chat with our lovely Whitney.
